About Oasis Manchester: Excellence in Business Support

Oasis Manchester is a registered charity run and supported by Christian professionals, that is committed to EXCELLENCE in its three areas of operation:

ENGAGEMENT: Serving the people in the business community on a whole range of contemporary business and lifestyle issues.

Examples: Our programme of lunchtime talks (Workwise@One) has previously looked at topical issues such as leadership, personal development, working relationships and handling stress. Our four week "New Futures" programme helped those people in between positions tackle many of the practical issues involved in looking for new employment.

ENCOURAGEMENT: Inspiring and challenging Christians who really want to make a difference with their professional lives.

Examples: Under this area we have run a very popular "God At Work" lunchtime course based upon the high popular book of the same name, written by city banker Ken Costa.  On roughly a quarterly basis we run "An Interview With.." simply asking Christians from all professional spheres to share how their faith has influenced them in the challenges and opportunities that they have faced. EXPLORATION: Providing credible and accessible opportunities for people who might want to explore the Christian faith or specific issues in more detail.
